MCN ask the age old question. Are liter bikes irrelevant?

In a perfect a world…the 750 or 848Evo would be enough for any canyon carver/track day junkie. Given that most roads and tracks don’t allow for liter bikes to really stretch their legs. But in reality…people are more hung up on HP figures than pure logical performance. So whomever puts the most HP in their liter bike will always be on top of a test. S1000RR anyone? I like what MCN is doing, but we all knew the answer before watching the video.
Got here from the 1000rr forum. That gixxer looks hideous next to the 848evo and the HRC colored cbr.
i think literbikes are better to handle, because u haven’t to shift that much how you have to do with a 600er.

@Alex I get your point. I rode around Streets of Willow in 3rd gear on my 09′ R1. Although easy…it can be a bore at times too. Shifting on smaller bikes is kinda invigorating. I learned this not after riding my 06′ R6, but after riding my 07′ Husqvarna. What a blast I have riding thru Hollywood. Sucks for the local sheriffs tho.LOL
I did like how they rode what is one of the best middleweights in the 848evo and then said, ‘if you can afford it, buy the literbike’. I’m sure the 675R and the F3 (whenever it comes out) are awesome, but there’s nothing like riding a literbike.
Considered buying a 510SMR for thrashing around town but I live in the burbs right now and my chances of getting arrested were too high. Maybe next year, funds permitting.

with an 600er it feels like your really fast, near the limit, because youre shifting before and after every turn, youre working on it. But i like literbikes with a lot of torque, dunno why, it feels stronger
