Video of “Snake” section of Mulholland

After posting that vid of the guy crashing at the final turn of the “Snake”. People unfamiliar with Mulholland were curious about the road. Soooo my buddy on his DRZ 400 supermoto followed me on my 2009 R1 thru the “Snake” up and down. This is how it’s supposed to be ridden!

On the straights you don’t really have time to look down to see speed before the next turn comes.

Thanks kid! You gotta come out to the next trackday(Feb 19), just for the experience.
Although I’m no expert, my only negative observation is that one must remember to avoid ‘hugging’ the double-yellow lines. One’s tires may be on the correct half of the lane, but lean angle and body position puts the rider on or over the lines… a bad habit and fraught with danger. Ever see an aggressive auto driver on ‘The Snake?’ Do they always remain on the right side…
I hear ya Vic, but I take wide entrances and late apexes so I can scan the turn before I tackle it. So if there is an issue, I have room to negotiate a change of direction.
And trust, I’ve come across many cars/bikes crossing the double yellow at the snake. It’s not much of a shock to me, so I don’t get frazzled by it.
