Causing a Ruckus
Posted by Adey | Posted on 04-04-2011
Seems like it was just yesterday when I first met Ruckus at Lotus thru Frank Roberts. This union wouldn’t be so interesting…but at the time Ruckus was only 16 years old. And Frank having the hottest party in NYC at Lotus put this young Ruckus at its DJ helm. An honor held by only a few elite DJs in NYC. Fast forward 8 yrs…we are now neighbors in the hills of Hollywood and I see him down the street in Oaks Gourmet buying wine for whateva chick got the greenlight. He has turned into a superstar DJ and is killing the scene on an international level unseen by many. I took the liberty to shoot the kid in action at Trousdale on a tues night. The gratuitous booty shots are of his assistant(YES he has an assistant…and she’s magma hot) who’s name escapes me at the moment. Peep his blog CauseRuckus
Ruckus is more than a DJ…he performs for he crowd…
This chick followed Ruckus from Lotus…no seriously.
At the end of this vid, some guy gives me and Mac shots of coffee patron. I pretend to drink it, then dump it in a glass in front of me. But it was the drink of the guy next to me.LOL I dumped it so fast he couldn’t even react. LOL

Adeysworld x Hellforleathermagazine
Posted by Adey | Posted on 01-03-2011
I have become an official contributor to the Hellforleathermagazine.com site. If you’re not familiar with them, they are THE only moto-journalist site that has a finger on the pulse of our industry. They’re forward thinkers who are not afraid to voice they’re opinions out loud to the motorcycle industry. I had the pleasure of meeting the founders Wes and Grant in Brooklyn, NY when they first launched the site some years ago. We’ve always stayed in touch since my move to LA. My first contribution was setting up an interview with my old riding buddies notoriously known as “NYC’s Fastest”. This article turned out to the most commented article on their site. It’s pretty amusing to read the comments, so much hate out there.lol Click for NYC’s Fastest article.
My most recent contribution was me testing the Aprilia RSV4 R on Mulholland during their LA visit. Click for article
The Aprilia RSV4 R is a great bike, felt like an R1 crossplane motor packaged into an R6. Very narrow quick turning agile bike, not fond of bumps on public roads. I would say this bike was built as a road bike as an afterthought. It doesn’t really make sense on the road unless you’re riding it at the ragged edge breaking all traffic laws. Which means it was built to be ridden on the track in its natural habitat. I needed a second opinion so I asked one of my closest friends to ride it and give me his impression. I gave this interview to Wes and Grant to post on their website as well. You can view article HERE.

One of the most visible fixtures out of Jordan Brand in 2009 was the strong cast of Air Jordan I (1) Retro releases. A variety of retro+ colorways brought some future classics as things continue onwards in 2010 with the upcoming release of this army-esque olive-colored High. The upper includes various perforated panels with a black swoosh. Releasing mid-month on January 16th, 2010 at mita.

Previously spotted last year, Jordan Brand preps for the launch of its latest Spizike colorway, inspired by the popular fictional character Mars Blackmon. The kicks take on a red, white, and blue colorway atop a white base with Jordan’s signature elephant print. A launch is set for tomorrow, Saturday January 9th via Jordan retailers, including Proper.

Adey Meets MotoMan
Posted by Adey | Posted on 06-01-2010
Whenever I purchase new tires, I like to scrub them in properly by riding thru malibu canyons. Today was no exception, with brand new Bridgestone BT003 RS tires balanced and mounted by Alex White @Motorcycle Performance. Riding the canyons during the week as most bikers and car enthusiast will know, is like being on a closed course or track. The best place to do my Ben Spies impression(sad impression I must say) on my 2009 Yamaha R1.
The best and most popular section of road in Malibu to ride back and forth is the “Snake” on Mulholland. It’s a nice tight technical section that puts your bravery to test with its +/- camber switch back turns and blind corners. The perfect place for MotoMan to shoot footage for one of his weekly web series episodes. I had the pleasure of speaking to MotoMan who also hails from New York after his brief run in with a local sheriff. They received a slap on the wrist with a warning for driving to close and a ticket for obstruction of view with the camera setup on the front of car. I’d take that over a speeding ticket any day!
I look forward to visiting his MotoMan site which goes live next week on craveonline.com, where he tells a story each week about cars and car lifestyle that both gearheads and their girlfriends can relate to. MotoMan videos are also available on his personal site motoman.tv.

My personal weapon of choice…Nissan GTR!

Camera-man Paul and MotoMan getting their special complimentary invitation to the Malibu courthouse.
